With 30 years of experience, the Regional Economic Studies Institute (RESI) at Towson University is the trusted expert on Maryland's economy. Join RESI and community and business leaders for the 2021 Economic Outlook Forum. RESI Chief Economist Dr. Daraius Irani will provide the annual economic forecast for our state, with a focus on COVID-19 economic recovery and capital investments being made in Towson.

Eye on the Economy: An Interactive Look at Maryland and the Regional Economy in September 2021

The most recent jobs report showed that in September 2021, Maryland gained a total of 1,200 Total Nonfarm jobs. The official unemployment rate for Maryland decreased to 5.9 percent.

Professional Leadership Program for Women

The Professional Leadership Program for Women has a demonstrated track record of enhancing the skills, confidence, capability and influence of the women who have graduated from this signature program. The next cohort begins in February. Applications are due January 10, 2022.
