THESE VENTURES SET TO STARTUP

Next week nine ventures and their founders will take up residency in the StarTUp at the Armory as part of the 2023 StarTUp Accelerator. A wide range of industries are represented including, medical, finance, HR, social, and food.
Here are a few facts about this new cohort:
- Five ventures are led by minority and/or women founders.
- Two ventures are led by professors from area universities; one from Loyola University Maryland, another from Morgan State University.
- One venture was founded by TU student entrepreneurs.
- One is led by a military veteran.
- One venture is international and will relocate to Towson for the accelerator.
- All ventures have already raised $2.5M collectively in funding.

BECOME A CCMA WITH TU CONTINUING & PROFESSIONAL STUDIES

NEW—Certified Clinical Medical Assistant (CCMA) Program
This new 18-week program includes six, three week modules that incorporates in-person clinicals with self-paced learning. Upon completion, you'll be placed in a required externship with a local doctor's office and be prepared to take the CCMA exam. The first cohort begins September 5.

Fundamental courses are self-paced, taught by subject matter experts, and provide professional development opportunities in a short period of time. Choose from 20 courses focused on the fundamentals of business, IT, and health and medical to develop new skills or prepare for certification courses.

OSHER 2023 SUMMER LECTURE SERIES
|
|
The Osher Lifelong Learning Institute's Summer 2023 Lecture Series kicks off on June 14 and includes one online lecture and seven in-person lectures. Lectures are ~90 minutes each and cover topics such as Juneteenth, the history of America’s World’s Fairs, the Elgin Marbles controversy, and the 100th anniversary of Warner Brothers.
This series is open to non-members and members and is $50 per person for the entire series.
