More than a year after the pandemic shuttered most organizations, forcing people into a period of extended work from home and others into unemployment, all Marylanders 16 and older are eligible for vaccination. With more Marylanders getting vaccinated, more organizations are reopening their offices and recalling employees. However, according to a recent survey, 66 percent of employees said they were worried about returning to the workplace. How do your employees feel?

Job gains. Unemployment rate steady.

When UpSurge Baltimore and TU discussed working together, that dedication to inclusion, equity and entrepreneurship made the decision a no-brainer. TU’s StarTUp Accelerator’s first cohort included four of six minority owned ventures. The second cohort includes six of nine minority owned, three of which are started by women.

CONGRATULATIONS GRADUATES

Last week, Towson University celebrated more than 9,150 graduates through ten commencement ceremonies over five days. For many graduates of the classes of 2020 and 2021 it was a long-awaited celebration, more than a year in the making.
