Osher Summer Lecture Series continues through August 31
There's still time to join Osher at Towson University for their Summer Lecture Series. In-person lectures take place at Edenwald Senior Living and are livestreamed for anyone who wants to view from home. Each lecture is roughly 90 minutes and includes Q&A. Registration is $45 per person for the entire series and membership isn't required.

WHAT'S DRIVING OUR ECONOMY?

Job gains. Unemployment steady.
Maryland gained 1,500 jobs in June and the unemployment rate remained unchanged at 4.0 percent. These employment numbers place the state firmly in the bottom half of all U.S. states for June, ranking 37 in percentage job growth and 38 in unemployment rate. Maryland fairs better when compared just to the Mid-Atlantic region.
