What's driving our economy

Maryland gained 4,600 total jobs between October and December, while the unemployment rate rose to 3.1 percent. One of the biggest economic concerns is the new administration of Donald Trump and what his policies will mean for the economy of Maryland and the United States at large. Maryland is currently in an active legislative session as Governor Wes Moore and the legislature wrangle over the budget for the next fiscal year.

  • Preview spring 2025 courses: Join Osher instructors for a virtual preview of courses on February 3 at 2 p.m. The preview will premiere on YouTube and will be accessible on the Osher website.
