Earlier this summer, eight ventures were accepted into the 2022 StarTUp Accelerator. Each received a $10,000 stipend and took up residency at the StarTUp at the Armory to accelerate their ventures. MD unemployment rate lowest since start of pandemic.
Maryland gained 12,000 jobs in July-the largest gain in 2022. The unemployment rate dropped to 3.9 percent-the lowest since the beginning of the COVID-19 pandemic. Nationally, Maryland ranked 23rd in job growth and 38th in unemployment rate.
