Exhibition
Sookkyung Park’s exhibition, Connected as One, features large-scale sculptures and smaller works to simultaneously underscore the interconnectedness of life and bring people together. This airy and colorful dreamscape—saturated with symbols of hope, strength and harmony—inspires awe and optimism.
Renovated Asian Garden
In recognition of the Asian Arts & Culture Center’s fiftieth anniversary in 2021, Kathleen and Yoshinobu Shiota have generously sponsored and spearheaded the redesign and reinstallation of the Asian Garden at the entrance to Towson University’s Center for the Arts building that has honored the memory of Dr. Alexander Sidorowicz for decades. The new, sustainable design by John Powell—based on Japanese karesansuit (dry garden) tradition and incorporating local materials—is an elegant and serene acknowledgment of the contributions of Dr. Sidorowicz, the staff and the Advisory Board members of the Asian Arts & Culture Center.
