Developing Maryland’s Workforce

Melanie Perreault

At Towson University, education goes beyond the classroom. We make sure our students have both the knowledge and the experience to thrive in the global workforce.

From exceptional hands-on learning opportunities to innovative research, professional development programs, internship trainings and so much more, TU students are prepared to serve as leaders in any industry.

This is what makes Towson University alumni among the most sought-after employees in our state. In just one year since their graduation, Tigers of the class of 2022 have already delivered for our economy. More than 93 percent of these graduates are employed or continuing their education, marking a 4 percent increase over the previous year. Even further: of those that secured a job, 86 percent of them are working here in Maryland.

As the leading provider of undergraduate health professionals and one of the oldest teacher preparation programs in Maryland, it’s no surprise that the top employers of TU graduates include several of our public school systems and regional healthcare facilities.

TU also educates the largest number of communication professionals in the state and is home to one of our nation’s top cybersecurity programs – a rapidly-growing industry here in the Baltimore-Washington metro area.

No matter their major, Towson Tigers are making a difference in Maryland’s workforce. We take such immense pride in our students and alumni who are strengthening our communities every day with their hard work.

Sincerely,

Signature

Melanie Perreault, Ph.D.
