States that are Recovering the Quickest from COVID-19
WalletHub, July 13, 2021

As the U.S. begins to recover from the COVID-19 pandemic, it is becoming apparent that progress will not be uniform across all states. WalletHub evaluated all fifty U.S. states and the District of Columbia on their recovery status using various metrics including vaccination and unemployment rates. Irani told WalletHub, “the vaccine rollout is critical to economic recovery,” and that in the long-run, “there may be some losses as businesses that supported in-person events/activities may not come back.
