March 2018

Message from the Vice President

Vacation: While we are ever inching closer towards spring and nicer weather, it is important for you to take stock of your vacation hours and make sure you use them prior to June 30. This does not mean, that you should plan to take the month of June off, but plan now to take some vacations in March, April and May.

Ann Weller Dahl

Staff Meetings: We are planning on having our quarterly meeting in March or April. We have reviewed your comments and feedback from the staff retreat in January. It was clear that everyone thoroughly enjoyed the Disc discussion hosted by Bernie and Vicki and wished there were more time devoted to it. The reviews on the tall Small portion of the program were somewhat mixed driven primarily by the approach used by them to instill their lessons.

Strategic Plan: We are in our second year of our strategic plan and we are making progress. As with any plan, it is changing or rather refining itself to meet the realities within the University. While we continue to help our colleagues across the university on a variety of projects and initiatives, we are still primarily an external facing division and will continue to be, except our client base now includes the university.

• One last thing, don't forget to fill out and approve timesheets on a regular basis
