Message from Tracy Jacobs, Interim Director
It’s hard to believe we’re already half way through the fall semester. Thankfully, nobody has to study for midterms! Since exams and homework aren’t part of the equation here at TU Osher, there is more time for laughter with friends over a cup of coffee, sitting down with a good book, planning a fun trip, and learning for the pure joy of learning! I know that many people are busier in retirement than they ever imagined they would be, so I thank you for being a part of the community here at TU Osher. Whether you are taking just one course or a handful—I’m happy that you’ve decided to join us this semester. And, even though there aren’t any exams or homework per se, I would like to give you all a reading assignment—one that I hope you’ll enjoy: please take a moment to read this first issue of our Towson University Osher newsletter. I hope you’ll find it informative and entertaining. And, don’t worry, there won’t be a quiz!
