TU Osher News & Notes
Tracy Jacobs

Happy New Year/New Decade! We are looking ahead to a great year and beyond. If you are like me, you make some resolutions at this time of year. At Osher, we can help you satisfy some of those resolutions: to continue learning and engaging, to enjoy your friendships, and to make new connections—even if you have a cookie or two along the way. Thank you again for being part of Osher at Towson University. We look forward to seeing you in 2020!

With gratitude,

Special thanks to Jackie and Eric Gratz

Jackie and Eric Gratz

The Osher Lifelong Learning Institute at Towson University appreciates Eric and Jackie Gratz’s generous philanthropic leadership to establish its first planned gift, an endowment to support Osher at Towson University instructor honoraria. In recognition of their more than twenty-year commitment to the Osher Lifelong Learning Institute at Towson University and dedication to the pursuit of lifelong learning, The Jacqueline L. and Eric K. Gratz Endowment will ensure that Osher at TU continues its programmatic excellence for future adult learners.

Jackie and Eric Gratz are Charter members of the lifelong learning program at Towson University. Before becoming an Osher Institute, TU's program was known as the Auburn Society. Under Jackie’s leadership, initially as a volunteer chairperson of the curriculum committee and eventually as Director of the Osher Lifelong Learning Institute, she implemented a bold and exciting curriculum. Eric participated regularly in the program as a volunteer instructor, teaching popular courses on films. He also served as chair of the Classroom Facilitation Committee and was a member of the Coordinating Council. Both Jackie and Eric enjoy taking a number of courses at Osher as members.

Jackie and Eric Gratz are an inspiration to those dedicated to lifelong learning. To learn more about making a planned gift to Osher at Towson University, contact Kathleen Hider, Director of Planned Giving and Major Gifts, Towson University Office of Development at (410) 704-6287 or khider@towson.edu.
