TU Osher News & Notes

Location, location, location

Pathway with location signs

It’s been a while since I bought my house. Timing being everything, I bought right before the real estate bubble burst and then spent a number of years waiting for my investment to actually be an investment. I love those home shows on HGTV where a young couple goes house hunting and turns up their nose at what would otherwise be a perfect home because the walls were painted yellow. I scream at my television, “it’s called PAINT people!” and then remember how I traipsed around town with my real estate agent looking at houses that were “quaint” or “cozy,” “rustic” or “vintage,” or described with some other euphemism that made it sound better than it was. We all know it’s about location, location, location, right? Well, I’m not trying to buy a house or sell a house. But it’s still about location, location, location. It’s all I can think about lately and I bet you’re giving it some thought too. Where are the Osher classes going to be located this fall? Believe me, I can’t wait to tell you. It’s killing me to not tell you. So why don’t I just tell you already? I am not trying to be coy or clever here. Not today. I am waiting for the proverbial ink to dry on our agreements that we are signing for the spaces where our classes will be held. Once we have the all-clear, I’m looking forward to sending out messaging about where we will be. We have a terrific fall lineup that I also look forward to sharing with you as well. As I said, timing is everything, and we know that the time to announce our new digs is just around the corner. Thanks for your patience!

Stay safe and healthy,

What a difference a year makes

Shelby's twin boys

Happy Birthday to the twins!

Last year at this time, Shelby, our trusty membership coordinator, had just birthed a couple of babies about 10 weeks before their due date! The boys weighed under 3 lbs. at birth and were in the NICU for about two months. Look at them now. They are one year old and full of energy! As Shelby’s mother-in-law says, “they are happy, hangry, and healthy.” That’s just what you want in a couple of cuties.
