Ellen R. Fish is an Executive Vice President and Chief Lending Officer with Hamilton Bank.

Prior to joining Hamilton Bank, she served as Executive Vice President and Chief Lending Officer for CFG Community Bank. Fish held management positions at Provident Bank of Maryland for small business banking, syndications, middle market banking (including asset based lending), Provident Lease Corp. and private banking. From 1991 until joining Provident Bank, Fish served as a Senior Vice President and manager of Real Estate and Commercial Lending for Bank of Maryland. Fish has over 25 years banking experience having started her career at Equitable Bank in Asset Based Lending.

Fish currently serves on the board of directors for the Maryland Chamber of Commerce, Leadership Baltimore County and Towson University Foundation. She has held numerous leadership roles and is a past President for Network 2000, Inc.

Ms. Fish is also the founder and creator of the Small Business Resource Center, where she worked with Towson University’s College of Business and Economics to create a valuable means to providing strategies to assist small businesses. The Small Business Resource Center is often singled out as an example of how corporations can work cooperatively with various levels of government. With the Small Business Resource Center, Ms. Fish was able to mentor its first executive director through all aspects of launching a new business including financing, marketing, human resources, and interpersonal conflict issues.

Ms. Fish holds a B.S. in Management from Virginia Tech and has previous professional experience with the Provident Bank of Maryland, Bank of Maryland, Mercantile Safe Deposit & Trust Corp., and Equitable Bank, N.A.

A recipient of many awards, Ms. Fish was the recipient of The Volunteer of the Year Award for Baltimore County from the Baltimore County Chamber of Commerce and was recognized three times as one of Maryland’s Top 100 Women and was inducted into the Circle of Excellence of Maryland’s Top 100 Women by The Daily Record in 2008; she was recognized in 2011 and 2012 by SmartCEO Magazine as on of the Top Bankers; and, she was recognized as one of the founding members of Virginia Tech’s Leadership Honorary Society in 2004; she was recognized as a woman leader in the Top Generations of Women Leaders at Virginia Tech in 1996.
