ERNEST A. LYNTON AWARD WINNER ANNOUNCEDThe annual Ernest A. Lynton Award for the Scholarship of Engagement for Early Career Faculty recognizes a faculty member who connects his or her teaching, research, and service to community engagement.
The Ernest A. Lynton Award has been awarded to Mara Tieken, Ed.D., assistant professor and the associate chair of education at Bates College. A former third-grade and adult basic education teacher, her research focuses on racial and educational equity in rural schools and communities.

CALL FOR NOMINATIONSThe Coalition requests nominations for President, Vice President/Secretary/Treasurer, and three Members-at-Large to serve on the Coalition Executive Committee.
The Coalition Executive Committee is comprised of presidents of member institutions and are elected to two-year terms during the annual Presidents Meeting at the CUMU conference in October. Nominees should be CEOs of Coalition member institutions. Submit prospective candidates by October 14.
