Building for the Future

As the largest university in Greater Baltimore and the fastest-growing university in Maryland, Towson University’s momentum is only becoming stronger.

Over the last several years, we have seen dramatic changes to our campus as we build for the future of our ever-growing anchor institution. This has included construction and enhancements to academic facilities that support the success of our diverse student population.

Nearly one year ago, we broke ground on the university’s new College of Health Professions building. This state-of-the-art facility—designed to house the entirety of the college’s programming, research and instruction—will be instrumental in growing TU’s role as the leading producer of undergraduate health professionals in Maryland. Tremendous progress has been made on the building’s construction this summer as we inch closer to its expected completion in 2024.

This fall, after more than two years of renovations, our entire Tiger community will be able to enjoy the expanded University Union—a special place that has quickly become the hub for student life right in the heart of campus.

And we are forging ahead with plans to continue enhancing facilities that promote student health, wellness, and academic success with our Academic Achievement Center. Supported by fundraising efforts and the Maryland legislature, this full-service learning center will build upon the constantly recognized academic success of our student-athletes.

These are just a few of the capital projects that are ongoing here at TU—all of which greatly support our commitment to fostering academic excellence, research and student success.

Thanks to your support, the future of Towson University is brighter than ever. Together, we are paving the way for the next generation of Tigers.

Sincerely,

Signature
