Returning #TUtogether
Last spring, the majority of our campus community left the space that brings us all together.
We asked our students, faculty and staff to remain #TUtogether, but to stay home, stay safe and stay positive as we dealt with the early weeks of the pandemic.
Now, as we prepare for fall and a return to full on-campus living and learning at TU, we can welcome our community to come together again on our beautiful 329-acre campus in the heart of greater Baltimore.
After the Independence Day weekend, TU will return to its pre-pandemic telework policy, ending a stretch of 481 days since the pandemic forced our faculty and staff into an emergency telework environment.
This return is done to give our campus community the runway it needs to give our students the campus experience they deserve. By the fall term, we'll have construction underway on our new College of Health Professions building, and the expansion of the University Union will be complete to tie together our student activities district in the heart of campus.
We return so we can be #TUtogether. And over the next two months, one singular goal — putting our students first — will be what galvanizes all Tigers.
There's much to be proud of at Towson University, and there are truly great things ahead!
Sincerely,
Kim Schatzel, Ph.D.
